Sometimes different wedding vendors get together and put on styled shoots to boost creativity and support each others’ work. This is from a couple years ago when I second shot for Andrea Zajonc Photography at the Portland Yacht Club for this styled wedding shoot. Floral Sunshine provided the beautiful florals with lovely shades of red, pink, and ivory. This couple was just especially fun to work with. I was loving the flaming red hair and vintage gown. We had an ethereal sunset that just made some of the most beautiful and warm colors. I even shot some film at this session. Anyways, these are too beautiful not to share. I’d love to hear from you if you are planning a wedding at the Portland Yacht Club!  Here are some of my favorites from that unusually sunny day in November.

I was obsessed with this vintage dress from Brides for a Cause. It had such a simple, romantic feel to it.  It was as if it was made especially for her. I even loved the big ribbon bow on the back. So dreamy.

It’s hard to believe that this was a fall day at the Portland Yacht Club.  It was November and we were sure that it would be overcast but we lucked out and the skies parted. We had that beautiful golden sunset light which created some really nice pastel colors. I loved all the different textures; the rope, the lace, the deck wood, against the backdrop of the serene Columbia River and all of the colorful boats. The Portland Yacht Club also has a lovely outdoor patio, as well as a large dining hall.  There is also a large ceremony area with gorgeous ceiling to floor windows, so you can exchange your vows with the river flowing behind you.
