Over this past summer, I second shot a lot of weddings for my friend, Andrea Zajonc Photography. I wanted to blog this one because I loved this venue and this couple. This wedding took place at Castaway, a wedding venue in Portland, Oregon and the adjacent nursery, Pomarius, allowed us to take photos in their greenhouse and nursery.  I’m one of those people who tries to fill their house with plants and succulents, which I know is very on trend and all over Pinterest. It makes sense though, because plants are so calming and it’s lovely to be surrounded by them. Castaway Portland is an industrial type venue with an outdoor and indoor space and it’s signature lavender wall outside. The day of this wedding it was close to 95 degrees so the guests had these adorable sun umbrellas that look like they should be peaking out of a tropical cocktail.  This couple was really fun to work with and game for anything. I especially loved this bride’s custom made dress. It was just perfection in it’s simplicity and beauty. Their friends and family were all so lively and fun, and made it such a fun group to photograph. I was laughing and dancing right along with them as I took photos. I hope you enjoy these!
